Start yours now!If you would like to know more, please visit our website at https://www.Slb.Com/Location:Paris, Pau – FranceJob Summary:The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for contributing technical expertise in the area of reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation tools (Intersect) during all phases of product and services delivery. The job involves customer support for Reservoir Engineering /Simulation population for a specific customer located in France, including worldwide locations, and the software engineering and product management groups to support in areas of expertise. As well, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of product and service delivery. The Reservoir Engineer actively participates in promoting and supporting new technology in Simulation and service offerings and supports business development.Direct Supervisor: Solutions Technical LeadLiaises with customer and internal Petro-technical Experts, Software Developers, Product Champions and Product Analysts.Responsibilities and Duties: It is expected that the successful candidate will provide advanced reservoir engineering support for Intersect simulator and linked commercial products and services to the customer. Responsibilities may include:· Resolving escalated technical support tickets from internal customer and affiliates.· Executing and advising on consulting projects for internal customers and affiliates.· Delivering training and support to customer reservoir engineers’ community in the application of software solutions.· Contributing to Customer Success initiatives, software improvements, delivering advanced domain solutions and innovation.· Participating in the testing of Intersect new versions, evaluating technology performance and relevance of the workflow to the customer.· Assisting the internal simulation support team during new versions introduction, including documentation, publications, presentations and training packages.· Proposing new development areas for the product teams and defining requirements for new customer workflows.· Carrying out technical studies and participating in technical reviews and audits.· Writing and reviewing technical publications.· Participating in external professional societies and internal technical communities.· Complying with applicable company policies (SLB and Customer), including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.· Completing required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, driving).Essential Requirements: BS or MS: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering (other closely related degrees considered).Practical experience with RE / Simulation software (Intersect)Be globally mobile.The desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high-value, technically complex products/projects.English language proficiency.
