Functieomschrijving Electrical / Software Equipment Engineer (m/f/d) Environment: A team of highly skilled people delivering engineering services for production equipment. We are part of the Factory Best organization, and our focus is with support of the RS,MR,IGT and DXR production departments. We deliver designs for tools, manufacture those tools but also maintain them. The candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of software solutions within the company, ensuring they are scalable, modular, and align with digital advancements such as Industry 4.0 and IoT. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, while providing leadership and mentorship to junior software engineers. This role offers extensive professional growth in a dynamic environment, with opportunities to lead projects and innovate with emerging technologies. We are looking for someone who wants to grow his technical insights into equipment design, working for our department means no day is the same, and you have a high degree of independence. Given that we support the manufacturing department, the work is primarily on-site based. Responsibility: - Designing, Engineering, documenting and improving new and / or existing electrical appliances, test boxes and test systems. - Leading the project, monitor the execution, the progress and the costs of the project. Projects are mostly multidisciplinary, E, M and S (software) - Managing the engineers at assembly or installation work. - Hands-on assembly or installation work in person. - Making drawings and schematics (assembly and mono drawings), bills of materials, regulations, etc. This data together with technical documentation of purchase parts in a technical file and archives. - Execution of projects according to specifications so that the necessary diagrams and drawings of the relevant project can always be obtained (TPD). - Translating the demands and wishes of the client into a feasible technical and financial specification. - The inclusion in the specification of all functional requirements and the requirements regarding safety, ergonomics, standards, etc. - Creating a budget and planning for a project on request. - Reporting to the customer. Providing the customer with insight into the progress of the project and discussing the work still to be carried out. This should help to ensure that the customer receives a clear overview of the activities. - Bearing responsibility for the aftercare of a project. - Drafting a maintenance instruction and determining the maintenance intervals. - Determining the required stock of spare parts due to errors and / or maintenance work on the relevant installation or machine. - Being the go-to person on (electrical) safety Requirements: - Bachelors degree or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering - Experienced engineer (4-8 years ), understands the way of working within (equipment) development departments, working experience in a development and/or production organization for professional industrial products - Experience with Eplan is a pre - Labview/Python knowledge and experience is mandatory - Experience with SAP/ Windchill/ Github is a pre - Knowledge or experience with Industry 4.0, IOT, Robotics is a pre - Project management skills - Languages Dutch native and English, verbal and in writing - Proven customer focus and a drive for quality and reliability - Strong problem-solver able to research and solve difficult issues using innovative approaches - Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges - Excellent knowledge of relevant safety standards like: NEN3140 / Machine directive / Low voltage directive / ISO13849 / ISO12200 / IEC60825 - Excellent documentation skills, we are working in a highly regulated industry, everything we do is documented and reviewed.
