We are looking for an Application Engineer for PCB Design Location: France, Paris-VelizyReports to: AE Director Job Description, Role and Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for pre-sale and post-sale activities on our Cadence PCB Solutions, part of EDA Electronic Design Automation domain. Our tools are used to design printed circuit boards of any electronic system. You will work closely with top tier customers supporting technical campaigns for pre-sales by creating and conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, training, knowledge transfer and services delivery. You will recommend technical solutions based on Cadence PCB solutions and identify opportunities or risks that are linked to those proposals. You will work with the sales team to build a strategy for new prospects and propose the best technical solution.You will provide technical trainings or workshops, technical support to our European customers. You will investigate the customer issues and identify work around. You will share customer feedback and suggestions to R&D. You will be part of the team to contribute and participate in team projects. Position requirements, Experience, EducationA Master Degree or equivalent, in Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringAn expertise in Schematic Entry and PCB Design is an added advantage. You will receive a thorough training on the Cadence PCB software. The team will train you on the long term to handle Cadence technology. A basic understanding of PCB tools in the context of PCB Design Conception Flows. You will learn to analyze customer's environment and evaluate appropriate solutions.An experience with any electronic software for board design is desirable.You will be trained on multiple software such as Allegro X PCB Designer, Allegro System Capture, InspectAR, ECAD MCAD Library CreatorYou will be trained on Sigrity technology to run the first level of electronics simulation (IR Drop, Coupling, Reflection, Return Path, Crosstalk…)Experience in PCB design, would be a plusExperience in signal and power integrity at PCB level, would be a plusKnowledge of TCL or other programming languages, would be a plusExcellent French written and oral communication skills. Good English written and oral communication skills. You can follow English classes to improve your skillsAbility to work in a multinational engineering environment.
