Overview:We have partnered up with an exciting deep-tech company who are dedicated to the energy transition through production of carbon-free hydrogen via plasmolysis. Their technology uses 5x less electricity than electrolysis to produce the same amount of hydrogen at a competitive cost, without consuming water.The component can be rapidly integrated into existing industrial infrastructures and gas plants for on-site, on-demand production, with easily adjustable capacity across various sectors and facilities.What You’ll Do:As a member of the Technical Team, you will play a key role in developing and optimising an industrial demonstrator, followed by fully industrialised equipment, for the production of hydrogen and carbon black. Your focus will be on designing gas-solid and gas-gas separation systems, as well as carbon handling processes. You’ll collaborate closely with the R&D and Design Office teams to ensure the final product meets customer requirements.Develop technologies and design solutions that meet both technical and industrial criteria.Determine appropriate dimensions and operating conditions for the equipment.Conduct studies to achieve targeted performance levels.Ensure effective reporting and protection of knowledge and intellectual property.Manage techno-economic studies in alignment with project timelines.Implement trials to assess the impact of design changes on hydrogen and carbon production.Perform mass and energy balance calculations and analyses.Create P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) schematics.The Skills & Experience That You Bring:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Process EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in the field of gas treatment (e.G. chemistry, petrochemicals).Strong proficiency in CAD for designing chemical or petrochemical processes.Specialisation in gas-gas and gas-solid separation technologies is a plus.Proven skills in using simulation/modelling tools such as ASPEN, Prosim.Proficient in English (minimum B2 level in reading, writing, and speaking).Knowledge of process instrumentation would be a plus.Team management experience is desirable.What's On Offer: This presents a unique and exiting chance for someone to contribute to making a significant impact on a sustainable future.
