Job TitleSenior Product Definition Analyst(PDA) – API ManagementJob DescriptionAPI Management is the needed solution for an enterprise to embrace a digital strategy, and enable business based on APIs. It provides a means to our company for being competitive in that domain by accelerating our time-to-market, supporting flexibility in our content offering, and facilitating the integration with our partners.This type of solution is bridging the gap between our businesses and our technologies, requiring a wide spectrum of knowledge regarding the Amadeus processes in designing and promoting APIs, managing their life cycle via our control plane, up to their deployment and servicing via our API gateways.Given those perspectives, we have a company wise approach to help in leveraging our know/how and our software through a common API management platform for the benefit of our Business UnitsOur department is responsible in designing, delivering and operating the API Hub product, previously known as Amadeus For Developer, and moving toward the new strategic positioning of our company based on the cloud platform standards and the new creation platform. Our ambition is to bring API management capability as a service to any eco-system , and to any consumer.Our evolution path is driven by the Platform Portal and Interfaces train which is part of the Creation Platform train, therefore working in SAFe , and our scope covers all aspects attached to our product, involving PDA, QA, Developers, SRE, Support and Implementation teams, in a multi-site context across Nice and Bangalore.As such We are looking for a PDA who can handle challenges and help shape the vision and offering of the API HUB, as the API ecosystem is evolving fast.Accountabilities:Assess Requirements:Analyze business requirements provided by the Product Management.Build, maintain and share the functional/technical knowledge of our processes and usage of end user products.Contribute to the estimation of the Requirements.Consolidate and articulate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades.Support stakeholders in doing sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to be worked onFunctional Design:Write Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, Product Specifications and present functional walk-throughs to all concerned stakeholders.Interface with relevant divisions and departments to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.Define the UI/BE specifications based on the business requirements and and by following common guidelines.Work closely with developers and organize internal specification walkthrough.API Design:Define the scope of the APIs based on the business requirements and user needs.Follow the API design process:Design the data models, schemas and interfaces, and protocols for the APIs.Standardize of the resources in Stoplight Data DictionaryCreate an API contract(swagger) using stoplight.Present the work accomplished on the API design to the API board.Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to ensure the quality, consistency, and compatibility of the APIs.Document the API design and the functionality for internal and external consumers.Test, debug, and troubleshoot the APIs and provide feedback and support for continuous improvement.Overview Validation:Contribute to the implementation of the implementation and review of test plans, to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity.Ensure traceability of tests with specificationsEnsure production integrity by investigating, validating and prioritizing reported incidents.Continuous improvementsSuggests ways to improve documentation and to make it comprehensive and precise.Recommends process improvements for specs, docs, solution design, proactive maintenance, etc.Manage relations with key stakeholders:Interface and communicate with Product Management and SAFe TroikaInterface with the customer during requirements' understanding, functional specification, testing and implementation phases.Participate to team events:Participate to the SAFe ceremonies within the team and train: PI Plannings, Stand-ups, Refinements, Retrospectives…About the ideal candidate:At least 5 years of experience as a product definition analystExcellent communication skills, ability to interact with all stakeholders (functional and technical teams)Good understanding of SAFeWork with different teams across different locations.Strong written, oral and presentation skillsCreative and proactive approachA professional who can solve difficult problems, manage and collaborate with teams effectively.Diversity & InclusionAmadeus aspires to be a leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the tech industry, enabling every employee to reach their full potentialby fostering a culture of belonging and fair treatment, attracting the best talent from all backgrounds, and as a role model for an inclusive employee experience. Amadeus is an equal opportunity employer.
